Macon Fry of New Orleans, LA, is one of the runners-up in the first Global Green Citizen Entreprener Contest to honor local green heroes.  

About Macon:

Macon is a mentor farmer at the Hollygrove Market and Farm and the Grow Dat Youth Farm, where he helps provide urban agriculture training and jobs for students.

Next Steps:

Macon is planning to add a vermicomposting (worm compost) system to replace conventional bins. In the coming months, we will post updates on his progress.
