iTunes Action: Click, Commit, Contribute

blog_gasoline_rainbowsActors Sophia Bush and Austin Nichols (TV's "One Tree Hill) and yogis David Newman and Krishna Das are a few of Global Green’s innovative supporters who have new offerings on iTunes to benefit Global Green's ongoing efforts to combat climate change. As one of Austin’s fans put it, “When you use your fame for good, it really reflects on generations.” Global Green’s ongoing work in the Gulf during the post-BP oil spill days inspired Sophia and Austin to challenge their fans to support our efforts in a number of ways. With the help of Global Green Board Member Edward Norton’s crowdrise.com, they have raised $57,300 (and counting). Their latest endeavor to help GGUSA is by producing Gasoline Rainbows, a wonderful iTunes collection of new songs and covers from some of their talented musician friends, including Amy Kuney, Phoenix, Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeros, Silversun Pickups, City and Colour, Damien Rice, The National, The Black Keys, Onward, Soldiers, Passion Pit, Surfer Blood, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, LCD Soundsystem, and Vampire Weekend. Simply download it and support Global Green with a click. On the other end of the musical spectrum, the iTunes offering from Krishna Das and David is the "Stay Strong Project," an uplifting single they put together with some help from their friends.
