We're excited to report the latest on the implementation of AB 758, California's Comprehensive Energy Efficiency in Existing Buildings Law. AB 758 directs the California Energy Commission (CEC) to create and implement an energy efficiency program for all existing buildings. The CEC has scheduled three workshops in order to gain public feedback on the soon-to-be released Draft Action Plan:
- Wednesday, May 1 in Los Angeles at the Ronald Reagan State Building
- Monday, May 6 in San Francisco at the CPUC Building
- Monday, May 13 in Fresno at Fresno City Hall
The all-day workshops will likely focus on a different sector of the building stock and the CEC intends a quick turnaround between holding these workshops and releasing a Final Action Plan. No date has been set yet for the release of the Draft Action Plan, but we're are expecting mid- to late April.
