Global Green received a grant from the Alameda County Source Reduction and Recycling Board (also known as StopWaste) in July 2015 to deploy and assess enhanced food scrap reduction and recovery at multi-family buildings.

The project was entitled the Alameda County Food Waste Prevention and Diversion Outreach Study and the purpose was to determine the impact on food scrap recycling and food waste prevention achieved through enhanced tenant outreach and engagement strategies, specifically door-to-door (D2D) outreach.
