Volunteer Opportunity! Sustainable Neighborhoods Research & Event Volunteer

Join us at EarthX 2019 as a Global Green Volunteer!

Global Green's experience has shown that it is crucial that plans and improvements fully integrate local context, perspectives, and knowledge. Therefore, cities should utilize a combination of technical expertise and local stakeholder engagement strategies to respond to these resilience issues at the neighborhood level. For more detail on this program, and the work in 30 cities nationally, please reference our blog post, Opportunity for Technical Assistance! Global Green is Building Sustainable & Resilient Neighborhoods.

We're seeking to bring this program to the Dallas, Texas metro area or nearby, and to convene stakeholders to discuss a potential Sustainable Neighborhood Assessment program. We're seeking help from 2-3 volunteers to explore if the program could work in their neighborhood. We are also sourcing volunteers who could provide up-front research on what neighborhood level government agencies, or organizations might be a good fit for the program, including for their own neighborhoods!

We're seeking help from volunteers with experience in research, communications and / or media; or who are deeply rooted in their local companies and seek to help build a program. As a new component to the program, we're also seeking to work with individuals who would like to bring the Assessment program to their neighborhood.

The volunteer will receive the opportunity to:
// Meet the Global Green and Green Cross International teams
// Help inform the neighborhood sustainability program and explore opportunities in their own neighborhood
// Engage EarthX attendees regarding neighborhood sustainability

See more information on Green Cross International and Global Green at EarthX 2018 HERE.

Volunteers will have an initial phone call with Global Green staff, and will join us in-person in Dallas on the weekend of April 27-28.
