Another home sweet sustainable home we built was sold in our Holy Cross Project in the Lower Ninth Ward of New Orleans. Above, happy homeowner Rebecca Russell, whose new green home is at 405 Andry, a single-story modern shotgun. Rebecca's original house closing date on the home was scheduled for August 29 -- the seventh anniversary of Hurricane Katrina -- but was postponed due to Hurricane Isaac. Rebecca told us she's excited to be moving into a home that is built to withstand Louisiana storms and will use 80% less energy than the average home. This is the third of five sustainable homes we built as part of our Holy Cross Project; one more is on the market and the fifth is being used as a Global Green Visitor's Center. Next up: groundbreaking of our Community Development and Climate Action Center in New Orleans. Stay tuned!
