GLOBAL GREEN USA'S 9TH ANNUAL SUSTAINABLE DESIGN AWARDS

The Sustainable Design Awards help shine the light on the great innovations and leaders working to protect New York and other coastal cities by stemming global warming.

This year our 9th Annual Sustainable Design Awards was held Wednesday, December 10th, at Pier Sixty, Chelsea Piers. Honorees included Governor Bill Richardson, and celebrity presenters included Katie Couric, Edward Norton, and Mel Gibson.

4TH ANNUAL SAN FRANCISCO BENEFIT

This year's 4th Annual San Francisco Benefit, Gorgeous and Green, took place on Tuesday, December 2nd at the LEED certified Bently Reserve. The event was co-hosted by Kate Bosworth.

Each year, Global Green's San Francisco committee hosts a cocktail event to benefit Global Green's green building initiatives. The event hilights green design solutions, including an eco-fashion show.

12TH ANNUAL MILLENNIUM AWARDS

Presented annually in Los Angeles, the Millennium Awards recognize and herald those whose lives and livelihood embody Global Green USA's mission of fostering a global value shift toward a sustainable and secure world.

Global Green USA presented its 12th Annual Millennium Awards honoring leading innovators for their extraordinary environmental contributions on Saturday, June 14th at the Fairmont Miramar Hotel in Santa Monica.

FIRST HOLY CROSS GREEN HOME COMPLETED

FIRST HOLY CROSS GREEN HOME COMPLETED

Global Green USA and The Home Depot® Foundation celebrated the completion of the first green home built in the Lower Ninth Ward with residents and city officials from the Holy Cross neighborhood.

This home, the first-of-its-kind completed in the area, will serve as a visitor center while the project, including five single-family homes, an 18 multi-unit apartment complex and a community center/Sustainable Design and Climate Action Institute, are completed.

GLOBAL GREEN USA 5TH ANNUAL PRE-OSCAR EVENT

Celebrities, industry executives, and environmentalists joined Global Green USA on Wednesday, February 20th at the Avalon in Hollywood for the 5th Annual Global Green Pre-Oscar Party. The theme of this year’s event was: “Time To Act -- Reduce your Carbon Footprint today: Drive Green, Live Green, Vote Green.

The party featured the latest in green automobiles, as well as cutting edge green home products and design. The event raised $420,000 to benefit Global Green’s climate change initiatives including the green rebuilding of New Orleans.

3RD ANNUAL SAN FRANCISCO BENEFIT PARTY

3RD ANNUAL SAN FRANCISCO BENEFIT PARTY

Global Green USA celebrated their 3rd Annual San Francisco Benefit Party on Tuesday, December 18, 2007. Held at San Francisco’s LEED certified Bently Reserve, the event focused on green design solutions to combat climate change and other environmental issues.

Proceeds from the evening benefited Global Green’s projects, including their Green Schools Initiative and the Holy Cross project, 
the first sustainable low-income housing community in New Orleans’s Lower 9th Ward.
