Monthly Sustainability Series: Solar Technology

Global Green USA proudly partners with AIA, New Orleans and USGBC-Louisiana to feature the next installment in our 2012 Sustainability Series.

The Sustainability Series--Solar Technology--An In-Depth Discussion Including Case Studies presented by AIA New Orleans at the Center for Design on Thursday, May 10.

This presentation will offer an in-depth explanation of solar technology, the best practices for designing and installing solar, and the current state of solar globally and in Louisiana. Attendees will learn about different solar applications, how solar energy systems are rated and compared, and innovative new design practices to integrate solar technology into residential and commercial buildings.

Additionally, this Sustainability Series event will present a case study of a home's energy usage before and after the installation of a solar panel system, substantiated by pictures, videos, and online monitoring data. Attendees will gain familiarity with the concepts and terminology of solar technology, and be able to better communicate these ideas and benefits in their work and day-to-day life

This event is free and open to the public. Special thanks to our great friends at Whole Foods for their generous support.

1 AIA CU|LU, SD|HSW does apply and will be reported for AIA members. Non-members must request a certificate to self report.
