This year, the Millennium Awards will be held on Saturday June 12th at the Fairmont Miramar in Santa Monica. Honorees include our own President Matt Petersen, James Cameron & Suzy Amis Cameron, the US EPA, the UC System, and the W Hollywood Hotel & Residences.

On Wednesday, March 3rd 2010, Global Green held it's annual Pre-Oscar Party at the Avalon in Hollywood. The night featured musical performances by CAMP FREDDY and friends, Benji & Joel Madden of Good Charlotte, and Mia Mestro.

Celebrities in attendence included Leonardo DiCaprio, James Cameron, Jessica Alba, Serena Williams, Nicole Scherzinger, Juliette Lewis, Radha Mitchell, Mia Maestro, Josie Maran, and Sharon Lawrence.

THAT EVENING SUN SCREENING & HAITI FUNDRAISER

On Wednesday February 10th, 2010, Global Green USA and supporter & actor Walton Goggins held a very special fundraiser screening of "That Evening Sun." Nominated for two Independent Spirit Awards, the film stars Hal Halbrook as well as Waltor Goggins.

Funds raised went towards Global Green's efforts to ensure that the rebuilding of Haiti is sustainable.

Honorees included PG&E, The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art, Ceres, Terry Tamminen & Bonnie Reiss, and Sebastian Copeland. presenters included Brian Cox, Tony Plana, Tate Donovan, David Brancaccio, and Miles O'Brien.

READING OF EVE ENSLER'S NEW PLAY O.P.C.

Global Green and V-Day presented an exclusive one night benefit reading of Eve Ensler's new play. O.P.C. (Obsessive Political Correctness) is a wildly funny and irreverent exploration of consumption and politics that asks, "How are we to survive as a species if we insist on destroying the world we love?

Taking place Friday, May 29th 2009 at the Santa Monica Bay Woman’s Club in Santa Monica, the evening included the reading - featuring Stockard Channing, Lee Pace, and others - plus a special VIP post-play reception.

On Thursday, February 19th 2009 Global Green held it's annual Pre-Oscar Party at the Avalon in Hollywood. The night  featured musical performances by Sheryl Crow and Gavin Rossdale, and celebrity attendees such as Leonardo DiCaprio, Kate Bosworth, Rosario Dawson, Heather Graham and many others. 

The event raised funds for Global Green's national green schools initiative, helping create green healthy schools for one of our most important assets - our children.

Bucklin, Rosemary Ellis, Jeffery C. Hines, and Datuk Vinod Sekhar. Celebrity presenters included Katie Couric, Edward Norton, and Mel Gibson, Brian Cox, and David Hyde Pierce.

4TH ANNUAL SAN FRANCISCO BENEFIT

This year's 4th Annual San Francisco Benefit, Gorgeous and Green, took place on Tuesday, December 2nd 2008 at the LEED certified Bently Reserve. The event was co-hosted by Kate Bosworth, and included a VIP dinner and exclusive performance by American Idol finalist Elliot Yamin.

Each year, Global Green's San Francisco committee hosts a cocktail event to benefit Global Green's green building initiatives. The event hilights green design solutions, including an eco-fashion show.

FIRST HOLY CROSS GREEN HOME COMPLETED

On May 15th 2008, Global Green USA and The Home Depot® Foundation celebrated the completion of the first green home built in the Lower Ninth Ward with residents and city officials from the Holy Cross neighborhood.

This home, the first-of-its-kind completed in the area, will serve as a visitor center while the project, including five single-family homes, an 18 multi-unit apartment complex and a community center/Sustainable Design and Climate Action Institute, are completed.

Celebrities, industry executives, and environmentalists joined Global Green USA on Wednesday, February 20th 2008 at the Avalon in Hollywood for the 5th Annual Global Green Pre-Oscar Party. The theme of this year’s event was: “Time To Act -- Reduce your Carbon Footprint today: Drive Green, Live Green, Vote Green.

The party featured the latest in green automobiles, as well as cutting edge green home products and design. The event raised $420,000 to benefit Global Green’s climate change initiatives including the green rebuilding of New Orleans.

3RD ANNUAL SAN FRANCISCO BENEFIT PARTY

Global Green USA celebrated their 3rd Annual San Francisco Benefit Party on Tuesday, December 18th 2007. Held at San Francisco’s LEED certified Bently Reserve, the event focused on green design solutions to combat climate change and other environmental issues.

Proceeds from the evening benefited Global Green’s projects, including their Green Schools Initiative and the Holy Cross project, 
the first sustainable low-income housing community in New Orleans’s Lower 9th Ward.
