NOLA Wise Data and Marketing Internship - New Orleans

Global Green's NOLA Wise Program seeks a volunteer Data and Marketing Intern for Spring/Summer 2012 to work directly with our Client Relations VISTA on marketing and data entry. Interns participate in a variety of activities that support both organizational, individual and community development.

Duties:   

  • Email, mobile, and web marketing design and implementation
  • Data entry in Salesforce.com database
  • Data analysis on energy efficiency measures and effective marketing methods
  • Outreach to specific neighborhoods, and assisting in neighborhood-based energy saving challenges
  • Public speaking about the program and its advantages to prospective clients
  • Door-to-door community outreach activities, to be determined


Eligibility: Background or interest in community based and digital marketing. The ideal Data and Marketing intern will have an interest in green building, affordable housing, and environmental issues. Applicants should share Global Green’s commitment to fostering a global value shift toward a sustainable and secure future. Other attributes include: a professional attitude and enthusiasm for public service; research skills and good writing, communication, and interpersonal skills; word processing and database management experience; attention to detail; the ability to juggle multiple projects at one time; and a proactive, independent, upbeat working style. University students at all levels, as well as individuals not in school are encouraged to apply. If a student, a preferred 3.0 GPA or higher (on a 4.0 scale), or the equivalent if from a non-US institution.

Location: Our office is located at 841 Carondelet Street, New Orleans, LA. Some work may be done remotely.
