Development Internship (Los Angeles)
Global Green USA is offering an internship opportunity for undergraduate or graduate students interested in gaining practical experience within an environmental non-profit organization. Duties will focus on a project to redesign processes and data associated with Global Green’s fundraising activities. Interns participate in a variety of activities that support both organizational and individual development.
Duties:
- Organize and document processes and data associated with fundraising activities
- Maintain and update databases; assist with data entry into The Raiser's Edge, the premier technical platform for non-profit organizations
- Conduct solicitation and research calls to constituents
Qualifications:
- Must be at least a junior undergraduate in good standing or a graduate student interested in sustainability, nonprofit management or development
- Excellent writing and communication skills; attention to detail; ability to work independently and to take initiative on specific tasks; ability to synthesize large amounts of data
- Comfortable with technology and using software applications; working knowledge of MS Word and MS Excel or other spreadsheet applications; knowledge of relational databases a plus
- Must be locally based in Los Angeles
Time Commitment:
Must commit to at least 10-15 hours a week for a period of 3-6 months. Exact hours to be determined with intern and academic institution.
