Stars Go Green With A Hollywood Affair

The world may be carried away with our poor economy, but let’s not forget about our mother Earth. Thank goodness to some of our favorite Hollywood stars who went green this past weekend, all for a good cause.

Actress Rosario Dawson (at left), David Duchovny, Adrian Grenier among others came out to celebrate the 2009 Millennium Awards Honorees at a star-studded fundraiser gala at the Fairmont Miramar in Santa Monica, California.

The event raised over $500,000 to support the programs of Global Green USA, including its National Green Schools initiative. When Hollyscoop caught up with Austin Nichols at the event he gave us some scoop on how to stay green, “turning off the house lights & riding his bike.”

Now if you want to make your life a bit more green, here are some helpful tips from Hollyscoop.

 

1)Turn off your computer when you’re done using it.

2) Make sure you never leave your water running.

3) Switch to Online Billing to save paper

4) Give Trees as Wedding Favors

5) Install a WaterSense High-Efficiency Toilet

6) Recyclw

7) Keep the light turned off unless you are using a specific room.
