About Our Project

BIBG Weatherization 4Low-income families in New Orleans face high utility bills, which can impair their financial security.

We will weatherize homes, not only to green the planet, but to provide direct financial benefits to the homeowners. We plan to present these success stories to the community as part of our public education and outreach campaign for energy efficiency.

Who Benefits

Low income families can devote up to 50% of their monthly expenses to utility costs, leaving less money for medicine or savings.

We plan to perform energy efficiency upgrades that can save families money and improve indoor air quality. Our outreach activities will educate homeowners on how to green their homes.

With your help in helping us win a $20,000 grant from Tom's of Maine, we can make a REAL difference in the lives of low-income families. Please take the time to vote for our project - today, and every day until October 30th.
