Help Global Green USA Ensure the Implementation of Chemical Weapons Destruction

Global Green USA is creating the political and public will needed to support the practical implementation of the Chemical Weapons Convention -- with the objective to ensure the safe and environmentally sound destruction of all chemical weapons stockpiled around the world by 2015.

In recent years, the work of Global Green USA and Green Cross International has been instrumental in:

  • Saving US support for Russian chemical weapons destruction from elimination by the US Congress with letters from President Gorbachev and Global Green USA Board Members leading the way. The program has committed $600 million to date under the Cooperative Threat Reduction effort.
  • Creating a public campaign in Europe to build international support for the Chemical Weapons Convention and abolition of chemical arsenals.
  • Helping implement non-incineration technologies at foru US stockpile sites for the safe and environmentally sound destruction of chemical weapons.
  • Partnering US states with Russian regions, all burdened with Cold War chemical weapons stockpiles, in order to facilitate mutual stockpile destructions.

These achievements are important stepping stones, but we must remain vigilant and ensure that Global Green USA can continue this vital work in the years to come. Please show your support with tax-deductible donation.
