Go, Sebastian, Go: Making Polar History

Exciting news from Global Green friend and board member Sebastian Copeland: he reached Antarctica's Pole of Inaccessibility last week, on his historic trip with Eric McNair-Landry. "This marks a first in the history of polar exploration: until today, no team had succeeded in reaching the POI without assistance or motorized transportation," he writes on his blog. "The farthest point from any coast, the POI is effectively the heart of Antarctica, and regarded as the most difficult spot to reach in complete autonomy." Read the rest of Sebastian's blog post on the achievement -- and the rest of the thrilling expedition. (And read our Global Green Room interview with him here.)
