Global Green In Coordination with the City Helps L.A. Step Up Against Climate Change With New Initiatives
Buildings are among the largest energy and water users and the biggest contributor to greenhouse gases in the City of Los Angeles. That’s why Global green has worked diligently over the past two years in coordination with the city to conduct extensive stakeholder meetings to create consensus for the city’s better buildings policies that will enact critical yet commonplace solutions for LA to cut energy and water waste, boost our local economy, reduce harmful pollution, and promote equity. It is critical for LA to reduce the energy and water resources used by our existing buildings as well as pursue green strategies for new construction in order to support the City’s Sustainability pLAn and to respond to the increasing local threats posed by climate change including extreme drought.
