Holy Cross Project: Happy Homeowners

Our Holy Cross Project sustainable village in the Lower 9th Ward includes five single-family homes. The first home, finished in May 2008, currently serves as a Visitor Center for developers, contractors, and residents to learn how to rebuild green (until our Community Development and Climate Action Center is completed).

The remaining four LEED Platinum homes were sold to local residents in 2012 – and owners are already reporting low energy bills. The homes will save the residents an estimated $1200 to $2400 a year in utility bills.
