Making an IMPACT at any age

Recently, we received a check for $10 from an eighth-grader at Autrey Mill Middle School. Here is her note on why she decided to donate to our organization:

"My name is Whitney, and I go to Autrey Mill Middle School. My school has a special assignment for eighth graders known as Influencing My Peers And Changing Tomorrow (I.M.P.A.C.T.). The purpose of this humanitarian project is to make others understand and help a worthy cause. The cause I am choosing to represent is going green. I chose this campaign because I admired Global Green USA's efforts towards going green. To me, going green is an important issue that is often overlooked. In my neighborhood, not many people recycle. I think I can spread the word and gradually change my community into a greener, more environmentally-friendly one, but not without help."
