Tweeting from the White House

How exciting to see planned social media breaks on the agenda for Beth Galante's visit to the White House today, where she's being recognized for the "Champions of Change" program for Global Green's work to strengthen the local economy, create jobs, and help the Gulf Coast recover from the Deepwater Horizon oil spill and for those in New Orleans to rebuild green following Hurricane Katrina. She's also taking part in a roundtable discussion by the Clean Economy Development Center on efforts to build a better future for the Gulf. Along with Beth, other New Orleanians to be honored include Will Bradshaw, Byron Bishop, Carlton Durfrechou and Harlon Pearce. “Will, Beth, Byron, Carlton and Harlon are true Champions of Change,” said Jeffrey King, the Executive Director of the Clean Economy Development Center. “Their hard work and dedication have been instrumental to helping the Gulf Coast recover. Not only are they all helping their local community and region recover and rebuild, but also they are helping their country recover and grow.”
