Managing Director & Senior Credit Officer, Rabobank International, Inc.
Ian Reece is the Managing Director and Senior Credit Officer at Rabobank International, in New York City where he has been employed for the past 20 years. Reece has responsibility for credit teams in five U.S. loan production offices focused primarily in food & agribusiness, and specializing in among other things: the beef, pork, poultry, grain and timber & forestry sectors.
In addition to his role as Senior Credit Officer, Ian serves as Corporate Social Responsibility Business Champion for Rabobank’s North American wholesale banking businesses in the U.S., Canada and Mexico. In this capacity, part of Reece’s responsibility is maintaining relationships with certain NGO’s such as, the World Wildlife Fund, Conservation International and the Rainforest Alliance.
Reece holds a B.A. degree in Business Administration and Economics from Upsala College and a M.B.A. degree in Finance from Rutgers University. With more than 35 years of experience in banking, he held the following positions at foreign banking institutions, prior to joining Rabobank: First Vice President and Head of Corporate Banking at Caisse Centrale de Credit Agricole, New York; Head of Corporate Banking at Bayerische Vereinsbank AG, New York; and Vice President, National Westminster Bank PLC, New York Branch.
Reece was born in Manchester, England and he is currently a naturalized U.S. citizen. He has been happily married to Maryann Reece for 33 years and the proud father of two daughters, Shannon and Ashley. Reece is passionate about banking sustainable food & agribusiness companies.
