We can all take actions to green our individual lives. It takes only one of us to screw in a lightbulb, after all. Sometimes, though, matters are not directly in our control -- and that's when we can have to make pleas for change and/or band together to make sure our voices are heard. It can be picking up the phone to talk to a school administrator about making improvements for health and energy-efficiency at your child's school; or taking to your office manager about getting rid of those styrofoam cups in the kitchen; or writing to your representatives about bigger matters of concern to you in your district. You can also sign up to be a Global Green e-activist and we'll help you with some of the work, sending you email alerts with links to letters we write to Washington and the White House.
